Can you believe Topshop Beauty is five years old? There’s actually been a whole 5 years of Topshop Beauty … I’ll let that sink in for a moment. Yep, that’s right – I can’t believe it either. I was sure it was longer into my blogging life that Topshop Beauty launched in all it’s polka-dot and striped glory? Well, five years on the beauty arm of the highstreet favourite is going strong and is still a firm favourite of mine. It’s a rate occasion that I visit Topshop and don’t leave with a new lip or nail colour… there just always seem to be something new from the brand?! Well, the latest newness comes with a touch of rose-gold goodness. To mark 5 years of Topshop beauty the brand are launching a range of limited edition packaging products.
The collection features a mix of top sellers with the focus being the five lip shades that mark each top selling shade over each year the range has been on sale… a nice twist! Although I have to be honest and say I’m surprise Brighton Rock isn’t in there! Maybe just me that loves that super-bright matte pink shade. Then alongside the five lip shades there’s the five top sellers from nails, plus Head Over Heels Cream Blush, Glow Pot Highlighter and Magic Liner (not shown) but all released in the limited edition golden packaging.
Going from left to right we have Rio Rio (2010), Ohh La La (2011), Innocent (2012), Nevada (2013) and Beguiled (2014)… which basically create a capsule wardrobe in themselves… covering red, berry, coral, pink and nude all in one fail swoop… As for my favourite of the bunch? It’s a tough call as I was going to say Ohh La La as it’s one I lusted after SO bad when ti first came out. But now, I think it has to be 2010’s best seller of Rio Rio – just a stunning bright red.
From left to right: Parma Violet (lilac cream), Green Room (green/turquoise cream), Heart of Gold (gold shimmer), Boy Next Door (pale blue cream) and Adrenalin (pink based silver rainbow glitter). I’m wearing Green Room as I type and it’s a stunner – really bright and probably more green on the nails than in the bottle where it’s a little more turquoise. It is quite a sheer shade so took three coats to get it opaque but applies really well. I’ve always love the quality of Topshop Nail Colours – smooth and easy to apply with the nice fat (but not too fat) brush. I don’t have details on which of these are top sellers from each year so assume they’re just the overall top sellers with Adrenalin apparently being the all time top seller from the nail range.
My question for you is do you have an all time favourite from the Topshop Beauty range? I think mine would have to be Brighton Rock lip colour… but it’s a tough call. I also still have a grey nail varnish from one of the limited collections that I love and reach for regularly… oh, and Pool Party nail colour. Also love that one. What is it about the spotty packaging that just wins me over every time?!
