Jo Malone Sugar and Spice Collection

Jo Malone London has recently launched it’s latest Limited Edition fragrance collection, and it’s a pretty darn cute one. Not just in the little colourful bottles, but in the fragrance as well. These are three of the five scents from the Sugar and Spice Collection (the two not shown are Ginger Biscuit and Elderflower and Goosberry) and they all come together to make a very British collection indeed.

Going from left to right I have been sniffing away at Bitter Orange and Chocolate, Redcurrant and Cream and Lemon Tart.

Of the three my most loved is definitely Redcurrant and Cream – it smells good enough to eat. It is on the sweet side, as you would expect – but manages to stay the right side of fresh to avoid smelling too saccharin.

Then we have Lemon Tart – the fresh and citrussy one of the three I have been trying out – very refreshing and will no-doubt go down well with anyone who likes their Lime Basil and Mandarin fragrance as it’s along those sort of fragrance lines.

Then there’s the most unusual of the trio I have here – Bitter Orange and Chocolate.  Yes, the smell does remind me of a Terry’s Chocolate Orange. But not so much that Dawn French might try to nibble you if you see her. It has that spicy edge to it and it very much changes when on the skin and I find the fact that it’s bitter orange rather than sweet makes it more wearable as the combination of the spicy and sweet make it interesting. But of the three, as the most unusual I would say this is one to sniff in person to see what you think  – whereas the other two fall into ‘safer’ categories of fragrance.

Overall, I absolutely love the Sugar and Spice collection – and yes, a large reason for this is that I love the pastel coloured packaging that makes the bottles look that little bit different to the classic cream and black of the brand.

What do you think, tempted to try the Sugar and Spice Collection? If you are, remember these are Limited Edition, so move fast to avoid missing out. I definitely want to give the Elderflower and Gooseberry one a little sniff as think that might just be one I’ll love!

The lemon tart fragance sounds really nice. Will definitely be smelling these the next time I’m in Jo Malone.

I adore Jo Malone fragrances and just so happen to be popping to Leeds tomorrow where they have a stand alone store – I may just have to make a cheeky purchase. They all sound so mouth watering!

My all time favourite Jo Malone is English Pear and Freesia, so am looking forward to smelling these english scents! I am particularly interested in the Redcurrant and cream one! 🙂
