Heal Gel: Review

Something decidedly less glam to talk about in this post – but this is one of those skin products that I used just once and decided I loved it straight away. Healgel is described as ‘Advanced Skin Rescue Formula’ and promises to ‘Smooth, Calm, Repair, Firm, Renew and Protect’ – which is a whole lot of multi tasking in one little pot of gel.

Since I do love a multi-tasking product I was hoping for good things and haven’t been left disappointed. I’ve been using this for a selection of things, including…healing spots, around my cuticles, under my eyes, all over my hands….and on all of them it has done something positive.

When used under my eyes at night, it feels refreshing to apply and leaves skin feeling plumped and moisturised. It doesn’t promise anything like anti-ageing, but I like it as an under eye hydrator/refresher.

For cuticles, it moisturises and helps soothe any broken skin areas (I have a very nasty habit of picking at cuticles when stressed). It leaves the skin looking instantly less dry – basically a very speedy way to perfect fingers!

All over hands, it does the hydrating and refreshing thing. Oh, and a little goes a really long way.

On a spot – it helped to calm redness and heal the broken skin around it without making it scab (gross, I know) too much. I don’t know what it would be like over larger areas of skin at all, but on individual spots I find this to be fab.

Overall, I love it. It’s got pride of place on my bedside table now so it’s ready to be applied for one or more of it’s many uses.

Having just had a bit of a google, it looks like the packaging might have changed for this so it now comes with a pump – which is good news as my only niggle is the dip-finger pot packaging. It also looks like there’s three versions – Intensive, Face and Eye. I need the eye one in my life!

I’ve heard really awesome things about this and now I think I’m definitely going to buy it – especially after knowing it can be used as a spot treatment!
