Guerlain really is the top end of the luxe market, with pure gorgeous packaging and gorgeous, eternally classically sophisticated products. This golden packaged mascara is the perfect example of this – with a sleek and golden tube that’s curved and smooth and one of those products that just makes you feel like you want to stroke it. Maybe that’s just me… but it is just lovely!
This is their new Cils d’Enfer Maxi Lash Mascara and the wand is a brush, that’s densely packed with bristles that are quite short rather than super long and fluffy. This makes it easy to apply all over the lashes without leaving thick coatings of the mascara.
It’s really easy to apply coat after coat without the risk of clumping or going too ‘spider lashes’ – whilst still feeling clear and dramatic enough. This is my current go-to daily mascara, because I’m loving the finish and how thick it looks without building to be too intense. My one niggle is that I find sometimes I get a bit of smudging on my upper eyelid – but oddly, only on the right eye… that might be down to having longer lashes on one eye maybe?! But overall, I really do like this mascara – there’s no fall out or flaking at all to be seen, even after the longest of days.
The slightly grumpy looking face shot doesn’t really manage portray how much I actually like it! But I do -it’s lovely!
