Clarins Instant Smooth Self Tanning

When it comes to tanning, it seems Clarins has nice and quietly snuck up as the brand to turn to – I’ve seen various products from it’s self tan range popping up on blogs over the months and there’s nothing like blog hype to get me interested! The one that really caught my attention though is this – Instant Smooth Self Tan – a tanning version of their famous primer. When I spotted this on a counter I was curious as I can’t think of a single product out there that is even similar to this in any way…

And now, having tried this – I can officially say I have a new favourite self tan for my face. Plus I also have a new favourite for lazy make-up days where I don’t want foundation and can’t really be bothered with BB or even blusher – this adds a subtle wash of colour that manages to smooth out my skin and make it look even and with a hint of glow. Just be careful to wash fingers after applying to avoid tanned tips!

The texture is almost exactly like the primer – if not smoother. It has a slight silicone feel to it in that it leaves skin feeling totally silky and smooth. The colour is the perfect balance of natural – not too muddy looking or too orange. Plus on a totally superficial note – I also really like the packaging. It makes me want to leave it on display, which can’t really be said for any other self tan products out there!

Overall – I can’t fault this. It’s a total Summer time glow winner for me!

On the other products in the Clarins self tan range – has anyone tried the self tan mousse? Would love to hear what you think if you have!

Wow, looks amazing. Would like to try it, even when I’m a huge fan of the super pale skin.

Sounds really good, I also think Clarins self tan products are so impressive. I am quite pale though – do you still think this would be ok for me? x

I need to buy a facial tanner, I haven’t used any before and this one sounds amazing! The texture in the pot also looks really luxurious
