GlossyBox June

Another month, another little GlossyBox review to share with you – this month’s box is a selection of five ‘Summer Essentials’… including:

Coco Rose Lipbalm – Blush Pink: For some reason I thought this was a handcream, but it’s not – this is probably my second favourite item in this months box. Simple, but lovely product.

MeMeMe Nail Colour – in a sort of greeny, yellow, gold shimmer type shade: Love MeMeMe costmetics, they have some lovely stuff. But I’m not a fan of this colour, feels a bit like it’s from the bargain basement and they’re trying to shift them… But the colour preference is a personal thing, some might like it.

Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse – golden shimmer version: Love this, perfect for summer and a gorgeous shade to flatter tanned skin. This is a cult classic product for a reason.

Helen E Cosmetics Shimmering Eye Powder – in a champagne shade: Nice, but not one for me – I’m not personally a fan of loose powder shadows but shade wise this is pretty.

Monu Hydrating Moisturiser SPF15: I recently tried one of the masks from MONU that came in a previous box and was really impressed (it was a clay mask, but left my skin feeling hydrated and clean at the same time) but I have to be honest and say I do feel a little bit ‘groundhog day’ as have quite a few MONU/RENU products that have arrived in these boxes over previous months and would quite like to see something different for a change!

Overall, it’s a good range of products with a few ‘crowd pleasers’ of full sized make-up products and a nail one – but shade wise it’s not really winning me over. It’s not a bad box, but it’s not blown me away – the stand out for me has to be the Nuxe.

probably because that coco rose lipbalm is packaged just like the L’occitane hand creams! haha. That’s what I thought it was before I read it.

I got the lip balm and moisturiser too which I’m pretty happy with. I don’t like that nail polish shade though and I try and keep away from the sun so a skin skimmer wouldn’t suit me. With you on the loose shadow powders- they always end up being a little too unpredictable.

I got a baked eyeshadow, Frizz Ease serum and a lip crayon which were all pretty great.

    Fingers crossed for next month.

I’m liking the packaging on the loose eyeshadow… Never heard of the brand before.

I thought that was a hand cream too. Until I read the label. It reminds me of L’Occitane creams. I’m looking forward to your review of these. 🙂
