Here we have another lovely little Autumn Winter collection of nail colours from Leighton Denny – the ‘Temptation Collection’. What I like the most about these five shades is that as a collection there are a few predictable (the deep reds and purples and the jewel tones) but then there’s a couple of unusual shades mixed in there too – a pretty smokey pastel and a more muted putty/purple/rosey type shade.
So for the shades we have:
Attention Seeker – a shimmering, metallic burgundy shade. I love a good shimmer shade, I love how smooth and lovely they look on the nail and offer just a bit of sheen.
Lilac Lust – My favourite from the collection, a muted lilac, with the faintest hint of shimmer. I’m a sucker for a muted pastel.
Hyponotic – Peacock turquoise, a rich jewel tone with a lovely shimmer. Again, another shimmer/metallic that looks as smooth as silk when applied.
Tempt Me – Cadbury chocolate purple, like the metallic wrapper around the yummiest milky chocolate out there…what girl doesn’t want a nail colour that colour coordinates with your chocolate?!
Mutual Attraction – The toughest shade to describe – it’s a sort of browny/purple/berry/terracotta shimmer mixture. Really unusual, some of the shimmer in the bottle is lost a little on the nail but that doesn’t make it less unique but it would have been nice if the shimmer lasted there.
From the Leighton Denny website it looks like there’s a green shimmer shade in there too called Statement Maker.
My top pick has to be Lilac Lust – I adore it! Which colour in this collection tickles your pickle?!
