Discovering Dogs…

Yep, totally and utterly non-beauty related post and it’s not even a lifestyle-ish one where I pretend my weekends are filled with gorgeous brunches, wandering flower markets looking stylish and supping hot chocolate in quaint little coffee shops…(who am I kidding, my weekends are all about wearing slouchy, comfy clothes, as little make-up as possible and catching up on sleep/trashy TV I miss during the week – with a healthy dose of blogging thrown in there too of course). But yesterday I did spend a day doing something rather random, but I absolutely loved it. So because the event is still on today (Sunday 10th Nov) I thought it would be worth a quick post in case anyone wanted to pop down and pay it a visit.

It’s also a totally shameless opportunity to post lots of adorable dog photos.

Long Haired Miniature Dachshunds

These two Long Haired Miniature Dachshunds stole my heart.. the brown one is called Cocoa and is only 18months old.

This gorgeous Spaniel is called Milly, and she’s absolutely lovely.

Short Haired Miniature Dachshunds

Think they wanted a snack…

The event I went to is called Discover Dogs, and it’s being held at Earle’s Court this weekend. And yes, it basically is a dog show. No, not my normal weekend activity by far – but I do absolutely love dogs, but my current life basically dictates that having one in my life isn’t an option (combination of living in a flat, full time job, plus busy evenings just for a start). But one day, we will definitely be getting a dog (at least one!) and until then, this was my little chance to get my fix of dog cuddles and stroking…

The event is organised by The Kennel Club (the UK’s largest organisation dedicated to the health and welfare of all dogs) – there are over 200 breeds of dog at the show that you can meet and greet (and yes, stroke and cuddle etc) and there were some amazing ones, some slightly wacky looking ones and some that just make you fall in love instantly…

This post is totally random. But I wanted to post the dog pictures and talk about it!

I’m not huge on dogs, but I just wanted to jump in and say I have that sweater too! It’s amazingly cosy and I love it. Mine’s way too big for me so I love to wear it with skinny jeans and boots.

From Gap? It’s one of my favourites – so snuggly and warm and goes with everything! If in doubt, wear stripes is basically my fashion moto!x
