To be honest, GOSH has never hugely been a brand to grab my attention – bar the odd flirtation with GOSH Darling from the early days of blogging – which I think I professed to be an amazing nude shade, when in actual fact it made me resemble a corpse… definitely not one for my skintone! Plus I do still love the amazing Holo nail polish – the one that was amazing, then constantly sold out and then wasn’t quite the same when it came back in stock as a newer version? Well, memories of GOSH products of days gone past aside – this post is all about some newness that has definitely caught my attention. These are the GOSH Forever Eyeshadow Crayons and they’re really rather gorgeous.
These are four of the metallic/shimmer shades in the range, all in the fairly neutral family of the new GOSH Forever Eyeshadow Crayons – the world and their wife are now doing all things make-up in crayon form (this appeals to my inner five year old). For me, the eyeshadow and lip variants are fab – so easy to apply, even a total numpty like me can do it. Plus you can use them like more of a chunky liner, or as an all over crayon, depending what look you’re going for.
Pigment wise, these can’t be faulted – the four swatches above are all one swipe. Ranging from the paler champagne gold shade, all through the deep brown, black with shimmer and golden bronze…I absolutely love these shades. Plus they claim to be waterproof and long lasting – I can’t really vouch for the waterproof factor as haven’t tried them in any extreme type of water situations (swimming/shower etc) but they are certainly long lasting and last a good chunk of the day on me.
When I am lucky enough to be given/sent a range of shades from a launch to try I don’t often keep all of them (unless my hoarder tendencies are in full swing) I try to either pass the shades I’m less likely to wear on to friends or put them into the next charity sale pile. But with these four, I just didn’t want to let any of them go – which to me is a big ‘yes’ for this range. The shade names are (left to right) 02 Beige, 04 Brown, 05 Grey, 03 Light Copper – yes, the more organised part of me wishes I put them in order of number for the photos…
Anyway, these GOSH Forever Eyeshadow Crayons have really impressed me and definitely tempt me to take a closer look at other GOSH items – anything you would recommend for me to check out?
