THREE: Summer Scrubs

I’ve had it in my head for a while to start doing a regular ’round up’ type of post with three of the same sort of product… coral lipsticks, pink glosses, creamy face washes etc… you get the picture. So to kick things off I thought I would start with three summer scrubs I’m loving. The three part is somewhat random, and somewhat a nod towards my hoarder tendencies where I often have multiple variations of a product on the go at any one time. This post is a good example of that – two of which are currently in my shower and used regularly and the other is a long time favourite of which I always have a pot of (I currently have two in my back-up drawer) so well worth including.

Clinique Sparkle Skin * (Boots – £22.50) Ok, so the tub packaging of this one doesn’t lend itself to the easiest of use in the shower – but this stuff smells fantastic. It has an amazing minty/cooling sort of smell to it that I absolutely love. Especially perfect for hotter Summery days. The scrub itself is quite thick and absolutely packed with little scrubby bits – so does definitely do a thorough job of sloughing off dead skin – probably the best for actual performance of the three I have in this post. FYI – does not actually make your skin sparkly as in with glitter…

Malin+Goetz Peppermint Body Scrub *  (SpaceNK – £23): Another long term love of mine, I’ve been through a couple of tubes of this (you can read a full review here). Again, another time for my nose to lead the way and make me love it for the smell. I absolutely love all things minty (FYI – mints are my favourite type of sweet) and this is that fab minty smell that doesn’t feel like you’re scrubbing yourself with some sort of toothpaste…but also isn’t so subtle you don’t get the fab ‘kick up the bum’ of the minty freshness. This has a similar texture to the Garnier – it’s more liquid than cream, but still packed with the scrubby bits to make sure it feels like it’s doing something.

Garnier Body Tonic Sugar Scrub * (Chemist Direct – £5.99): Yes, I am becoming a cliche…but seriously this one smells amazing too. I did already talk about this in my Spring Favourites Video and how I think the smell is very much like Jo Malone Sweet Lemon Cologne, which I also love (which smells exactly as described…partially sweet, partially citrussy lemon…maybe like a lemon drizzle cake in perfume form!?) Well, this is exactly how the scrub feels. This is the more liquid, but still scrubby-bits packed similar to the Malin + Goetz one.

I am a big fan of Soap and Glory Body Scrub, but have been anting to branch out and try the Clinique body scrub. The Malin and Goetz one sounds nice as well. I will have to give both of them a try. Great post!
