I love a serum. I love an oil. I love an overnight treatment. A serum and oil together, designed for use overnight? It’s like the skincare gods crawled into my head and made a product designed for me. This is a product that gets a thumbs up from Caroline Hirons, which will generally always make me curious about a product. This is The Body Shop Vitamin Overnight Serum-in-oil, quite a mouthful to be honest. But it’s a good’un.
The texture is oil in serum, but I’d basically describe it as a slightly lighter oil texture – but more in the oil that the serum category… which may or may not be a deal breaker for some. It is quite an intense treatment (FYI – works a treat on hands and cuticles too..) for an overnight pure moisture boost this is an easy win. The vitamin E range in general is great for this – I always think of The Body Shop Vitamin E as a great ‘entry level’ skincare range for anyone just starting to get into taking care of their skin beyond teenage breakouts etc.
Personally, this isn’t an every night product for me – but one I’ll reach for 2/3 times a week, or if I’m going through a bad skin week to get it back in check. I do however love reaching for this for my hands on a regular basis as they absolutely love it. At £12 it’s a skincare bargain. Whilst you’re checking it out, take a peek at the Vitamin E Sorbet..another major love for me.
