I recently took part in the series of seven days of No7 and the biggest highlight for me would 100% discovering this foundation. This is the No7 Superlight Foundation and it’s absolutely gorgeous – if you want to find something that fits into that tricky middle ground between light and natural looking, but also long wearing – then this is your baby. Also, there’s more than a similarity or two to a certain very popular Chanel foundation – but with this at a fraction of the price it’s well worh the investment.
The foundation’s texture is a little bit thicker than the Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua but still very light. It blends into skin flawlessly and really doesn’t look like you’re wearing thing. Yet manages to even things out and leave it with a naturally matte finish that’s just lovely. You know that sort of matte that’s not totally 100% matte, but not shiny either – just right rather than greasy shine and chalky matte.
Staying power is also very good – it lasts a day, easily. Especially if you do add a touch of setting powder (my setting powder of choice lately has been MAC Mineralise Skinfinish FYI)
I definitely recommend giving this foundation a go if you like your base natural and light feeling but want that perfected skin look at the same time. Also, the plastic packaging is lovely and compact so perfect for travelling – I wish more foundation products were in plastic rather than glass… so much easier/lighter to carry around!
