Lancome City Miracle CC Cream

I like to wear bases on the lighter side – I always have done. I’ve occasionally dabbled with the heavier bases of the beauty world, but without fail always come back to the lighter side and as a result have always enjoyed BB and now CC creams, or been partial to a tinted moisturiser. Now, a CC cream designed for the city? Protecting against pollution… this Londoner is listening. Including SPF 50…this so far ticking all the boxes.

Ok, so coverage wise it is hard to describe – it’s light, but buildable. But still a little heavier feeling than a tinted moisturiser. The product ‘blurb’ promises: ‘Perfects like a foundation. Beautifies like an illuminator. Hydrates like a moisturiser. With SPF 50 to help protect skin’.

Now, it does feel nice to apply and fist impressions are good. But – there is one thing that I must flag and that’s the fact it does have a tendency to cling to dry patches. I am prone to dryness around the eyes and on my nose and you can probably see a slight speckle of white bits on my nose where these feel a bit enhanced by the product  (not wearing anything else on my nose). I do however like how the sheerness of it allows natural skintone to show through and doesn’t mask my freckles. It does offer a nice light feeling base that evens things out and keeps them looking natural at the same time. My only ‘heads up’ would be make sure you apply your best moisturiser before you wear this – or perhaps save it for times where you’re not dehydrated. If you have oily skin then I suspect this will be a great light base for you!

Lancome City Miracle CC Cream * is available in three shades (I’m wearing 01 Beige Dragée) from Feel Unique (£27)

It looks so natural. I love Lancome’s products!
My favorite lightweight foundation is by Laneige, their BB Cushion. Have you tried it? It also has an SPF 50. I have dry patches like you, and this doesn’t cling to it at all! And it smells delightful 🙂
