L’Oreal Mythic Oil Heat Protector

I first tried L’Oreal Mythic Oil around the time it first came out, and whilst I absolutely adore the smell (seriously, smells so creamy goodness) I found it was a bit too intense for my hair to use daily. But then the range expanded – adding a milk, which is ideal for my fine hair. The shampoo & conditioner, the mask (more on this below). The latest member of the Mythic Oil family is the L’Oreal Mythic Oil Heat Protector – and I’ve been using it for about a month or so.

I’ll be honest and say I never used to be regular with using heat protection. I don’t tend to use it all that often with basic blow drying, although I do when I use heat tools direct on to the hair – so either conical wand or straighteners. But this one I started11 using for normal blow drying to give a bit of extra protection and keep my hair in tip top condition ahead of the wedding.

The cream is light feeling, but has a richness to it at the same time. It feels light and absorbs into hair, but it definitely packs a hydrating punch. Go light if you do have fine hair like me – a small amount goes a long way and going too far and you risk weighing hair down with product. But, when you get the amount right this is a lovely heat protector – as I mentioned at the start, the scent is gorgeous. It’s the number one selling point for me – so, as with all scents I suspect will be one that some love and others not as much. For me though, I love the smell and would like L’Oreal to bottle it into a perfume please!

Also, I briefly mentioned the Mythic Oil Mask – this is another recent love of mine. Again, with the amazing scent – it just leaves my hair feeling silky smooth and glossy. I’ve been using it around twice a week for over a month and almost through the pot. But it’s been fab for getting my hair into good condition. Love it.
