When it comes to watches, Michael Kors is still top of my list. When it comes to nails, in all honesty – I haven’t really tried anything. But when it comes to nails, I’m always keen to give something new a whirl and these little gold topped beauties (in typical glitzy MK style) are just the ticket. With nine shades to trial, ranging from the palest pinky nudes to bright pinks, to dark greys or deep blues. This could pretty much (bar a red maybe) this range pretty much ticks all the boxes for a capsule collection.
A t £15.50 a bottle, you want these to be a decent polish rather than an average one in some fancy packaging. Saying that, the packaging is very distinctly Michael Kors – gold and glitzy, not tacky but certainly not too subtle either. I like the square shape bottles too – much easier to store than a round one!
So the shades, we have (L-R):
Ingenue: A pale baby pink cream
Femme Fatale: Deep midnight blue/black cream
Audition: Coral/Orange cream
Sweet: Bright pink cream
Seduction: Midnight grey shimmer
Impulse: Inky blue cream
Coquette: Peachy nude cream
Intrigue: Taupe cream (looks more brown taupe on the nail)
Whisper: Lilac cream
So as I said, bar a red these nine shades make up a pretty comprehensive capsule nail collection. My personal favourites are Whisper, Impulse and Seduction. Across all the shades the pigment and quality are comparable with Ingenue being probably the only one that could do with a third coat – but that’s pretty normal for a paler shade as they’re naturally more sheer.
If you’re a Michael Kors fan then no-doubt these will appeal. The rest of the beauty collection is well worth checking out too – their bronzers are gorgeous (and huge) I’ve written about the other bits before HERE
What are your first impressions of these nail shades? Tempted?
