YSL Black Opium

Apparently there’s a heatwave on the way. As nice as a few more 20+ degree days would be. I’m kinda over it – I’ve moved on. I’m in Autumn mode now. I’m all about the darker nights, darker colours and cosy nights in. Except, this perfume is something that is all about the dark, but not so much the cosy. This is all about the dark in a sexy/sultry way – not in a onside and a hot chocolate kind way. This is the new YSL Black Opium perfume and it’s exactly as dark and sexy as the bottle indicates. All black glitter and sleek lines…

YSL Black Opium smells like a night out. A heady blend of coffee (yes really) plus jasmine, pink pepper, cedar, patchouli, vanilla and orange blossom. It all combines into a pretty intense blend of fragrance – it’s definitely one that you will either love or hate. It’s intense, and quite an unusual mix between smokey/powdery sort of fragrance and something feminine and floral. For me, this is 100% a night-out fragrance and not a day to day one. One that would be saved for ‘proper’ nights out, not just popping out for dinner or a couple of drinks. The bottle is a beauty though – can just see this being perfect to fit with any Christmas party get ready type of posts… FYI – the black glitter is well sealed, so not one where you end up with glitter dropping everywhere.

If you like your fragrances blatantly on the sexy side – check this out, it could very well be for you.

YSL Black Opium * is available from Boots (£43.50 for 30ml)

I really like this & keep spraying the tester every time I see it. I have asked Santa for it this year & fingers crossed he slips it under the tree

Black Opium is so stunning. I was quite surprised that I liked it because I honestly can’t stand any of the other Opium scents! Beautiful. x
