Hair, sometimes I feel like it’s the thing I sort of neglect the most as part of my beauty routine. I am very much a head-upside-down-blast-it-dry girl at heart. I do go through bursts where I spend more styling time, but overall – I like quick and easy when it comes to my hair. Over the past couple of years I’ve broken my every day washing hair habit. Now going for every other day – so products that promise to keep my barnet looking fresh on that second day too always appeal. My biggest issue being that it goes flat – more than greasy. These new Bumble & Bumble Blow Dry Cream options caught my eye – with the blue ‘All Style’ that’s good for ‘fine and oil prone’ hair especially.
Having fine hair, I do tend to shy away from overloading my hair with products. Opting for volume-making ones above smoothing, generally. This Bumble & Bumble Blow Dry cream though has given me a new look into hair products and how the right products (in the right quantities) can make all the difference. Without extra hassle.
I use a very small amount – maybe the size of a marble? Smooth through wet hair ahead of drying it. My hair at the end feels smooth, silky, fresh and most importantly – not flat. And yes, I do think second day hair is that touch less ‘blah’ when I’ve used this. Which makes it a bit easier to add a bit of curl and ‘get away’ with that second day of wear before washing again.
What’s your view on daily washing of hair? I still hear such mixed opinions. In all honesty, I do like my freshly washed hair feeling so when time allows love to do so daily. But sometimes when time is tight, it’s the thing that buys me back the biggest chunk. Plus I do think it’s feeling healthier by skipping that extra dose of heat styling/drying that washing results in. Tough call – either way, in London I’m not going more than a second day without washing my hair with the tube grime…EUW.
