Something a little different today – a new video! This one is a bit of an exciting one too – as it’s with Glossybox and it’s an unboxing of the new Glossybox March 2015. This box hasn’t gone out to subscribers today and think it’s only just landed with a few bloggers so it’s a bit of a first look. Let me tell you, it’s a good box!
When it comes to beauty boxes I know that part of the whole ‘thing’ is that it’s a bit of a gamble on what you get – it’s always going to be a mix of stuff you love and find really exciting and some things that may not be the right fit for you, for whatever reason. But along with the gamble is always the chance to discover something new – learning not to discard those products because you maybe hadn’t heard of the brand before or try a shade outside of your comfort zone. At the end of the day it all depends on your expectations I reckon! A few spoilers below for this month’s box, for more…hit play!

In the ‘Step into Spring’ Glossybox March 2015:
Essence Lash Princess Volume Mascara
I’m actually really impressed with this – I wasn’t totally sure what to expect, having not tried Essence Mascara before. But it’s really good – if you want long, defined, fluttery lashes. But without clumping/spider lashes – then this is great. The cobra curved brush gives a very natural fluttery effect and lovely packaging that feels much fancier than the full price would have you expect!
Sleek MakeUP Pout Paint – ‘Port’
This stuff is seriously amazing. SO pigmented and an amazing colour – it’s actually a pro-level product that you can customise by blending with other shades to create your own look. But for me, this is just a fab stand alone colour! I do love a bright lipstick and this is SO bright – and a tiny amount goes a really long way. Really pigmented – for lips I would recommend using a brush to apply rather than attempting to smudge on as it’s so pigmented any slight error will show! Also a little note – it’s best to give it a shake before use!
NAOBAY Moisturising Peeling
Called a ‘moistursing peeling’ but it’s technically an exfoliating scrub. The texture is described as a milk, but I would say it’s not as runny as a milk might suggest. It’s nicely creamy and contains tiny exfoliating particles (from acai palm tree) to refresh & exfoliate the skin. I’ve tried this before and was a brand I discovered via beauty boxes – so pleased to see it here as is a lovely scrub!
Dove Advanced Hair Series Youthful Vitality Shampoo & Conditioner
As I mention in the video, in all honesty – hair ageing hasn’t been something I’ve thought about before! But, based on the promises of the shampoo and conditioner these really appeal to me – combining volume and leaving hair in good condition is the holy grail for me. So these do have me excited – I’m already a fan of the Oxygen range so have high hopes for these!
ncLA Nail Lacquer – ‘I only fly private’
This is the best selling shade from LA-based ncLA (obviously LA based…duh…). A brand that has some really cool shades and always something fun going on. The polish is free of toxins and is a gorgeous bright pastel shade that has me just longing for warmer days! Bring on Spring and Summer please! Best thing about this – it applied two coats really well and dried quickly. Am looking forward to a full manicure with this shade soon. Now just to get the tan to match…!
