Paris is undoubtedly a beautiful city. Whatever the weather, whatever the season. So any chance I get to go I’ll jump at it. In fact it’s just today I’ve been scouting out Eurostar tickets for a possible return trip. But before I get to go again, I thought it was perfect timing to take a look back at a trip I went on late last year with the lovely Crabtree & Evelyn. Warning…it’s a tad picture heavy! Who can resist a million photos of Paris… ok, off the book another trip ASAP.
The trip was to see a feelunique.com pop up that was in the city in the pre-Christmas shopping period, announcing the launch of the site in France and showcasing some of the ‘Best of British’ brands available on the site. For me though I just loved the chance to get to know Crabtree & Evelyn a little more as it was a brand I knew a little about, but beyond being impressed by the nail colours I didn’t know a huge amount.
Well, what do you know – there’s a whole host of goodness. Including not only beauty bits, bit also some excellent fudge. No joke, I can’t get enough of the the C&E fudge! SO good. Sucks that I’m trying to cut out dairy now.
They also do great cookies and shortbread. And tea. and candles. And some of my all time favourite hand cream products.
Along with the visit to the pop up – which was smelling gorgeously festive thanks to the chunky Crabtree & Evelyn candles they had burning whilst we had manicures and checked out the other wares on show. Then we headed for a gorgeous lunch atLe Dome Du Marais where we got to natter over some delicious food in the most beautiful domed room.
Following this, we headed out to explore Paris in a London Cab – branded with Crabtree & Evelyn we whizzed around all the top sights. Ok, not your average way to explore the streets of Paris but so cool to bring that little touch of London to the French capital.
Paris is the sort of city I think that every time you go you get to see and experience something new. My favourite this time was Le Palais Royal – with it’s courtyard filled with humbug-like statue plinths and the gardens with the perfectly lined up trees.
One of my other favourite things about this trip was that it was with a great bunch of other bloggers – so fun to get to know some new people in the gorgeous city of Paris. A little shout out to the other girls on the trip: Fashion for Lunch , Beth Norton, Not Dressed as Lamb, Frock Me I’m Famous, & Time2Gossip.
Thank you for whisking me away to Paris for 24 hours Crabtree & Evelyn. And for the fudge.
