OM Pure Glow Cleanser

I think OM is a bit of a brand to watch at the moment.  I feel like it’s one that I’m hearing lots of buzz start to happen about, so it’s a good time to throw my two cents on the OM Pure Glow Cleanser into the mix. IMG_1902

First things first, I am firmly in the ‘double cleanse’ club and unless I’m feeling really lazy always do a double cleanse to remove make-up then cleanse skin. I usually start with a micellar to take the majority of make-up off (plus a dedicated eye make-up remover too) and then use whatever cleanser I am favouring at that time. Right now, it’s this one from OM – the OM Pure Glow Cleanser.

This is a gel textured cleanser and comes in a pump action dispenser that delivers an amount around the size of a lid of a 10p. This is plenty to cleanse the whole face. It sort of melts into skin and feels a little like a balm/oil like texture but washes away clean. It doesn’t feel quite as sticky/balmy as an oil on the skin, but the way it ‘melts’ reminds me of it. One thing that really struck me about it was the scent and how it has a very clean almost clinical sort of smell to it. Which is unusual for something that maybe seems quite aligned with a natural style of product. Although the range does have natural properties it doesn’t claim to be all natural, despite the name and packaging styling sort of leading in that direction. The brand itself is all about skincare that’s effective, science based and also connects ‘ancient wisdom’ and ‘transformative properties of nature’.

What I enjoy about this cleanser is that it really feels like it removes all the dirt and any remnants of make up from the skin, leaving it feeling properly clean and fresh but not totally stripped of moisture. I always use a hot cloth/flannel to remove the cleanser and it feels a bit like a mini spa session. The scent, again – is also something I really like. Although I can’t pin point what it is or what it reminds me of.

I would recommend this cleanser if you have combination or oily skin especially. If you have really dry skin then maybe look for something a little more creamy. But for a good, thorough cleanse day to day this is my current cleanser of choice. Oh, and the large size of packaging means it will last well too! Although it would be nice to be able to see into the bottle so you can keep an eye on how much is left. But that’s just being picky.

Ooh this sounds lovely, I have been looking for a new cleanser and was thinking about the Liz Earle but this sounds great especially if it’s good for oily/combination skin! Thanks for sharing! xx
