Where is the year going? Seriously? Way too speedy for my liking. It seems only days ago I was talking New Years and plans for the year and now it’s all leaves on the ground and talk of Christmas. I’m not ready people, too fast. But October is here so I thought I would kick off the month with a bit of a ramble and share some of my plans and aims for the month ahead.
Yes, again it’s been a bit quiet on the blog this week. Sorry about that, sometimes the other side to my work gets in the way and post holiday I had to make some of the consultancy work I do a priority. With limited time and being a bit of a perfectionist it didn’t leave any hours in the day to juggle both unfortunately. But the good news (for me at least) is the consultancy stuff went well (had a big project to deliver this week) and now it feels like a weight off my shoulders. So that’s great. The other good news is I’m actually feeling very much fired up on the blog front too.
I have a whole host of things I want to do – both in life and on the blog. A lot of it is around photos and topics I want to cover. I also have some seriously gorgeous beauty products I need to share. Including a whopping 120 lipsticks from Smashbox – yes, 120. I am going to make it my mission to try each and every one of them. Yep every single one. This is probably a pretty long winded post so may need to break into instalments.
I also have some great house content coming up too. Which I’m pretty excited to share – I went to the annual Living Etc House Tours on Friday with ao.com – full of inspiration and amazing homes. Only downside was we could only photograph in two of them so didn’t get as many photos as last year. But fingers crossed I can still make a tonne of content out of it!
I’ve had a really busy week since getting back from holiday, including working on Saturday so I decided to give myself a day off and just be a bit lazy today. Took the dogs to a local sausage dog meet up, which was great fun and have had two very sleepy pups this afternoon which meant I had some valuable time to catch up on. It does mean this ramble is the only post I have to offer you right now – but as I mentioned in THIS post. It’s ok to take a break – and sometimes when you’re just not feeling it, that’s ok and it’s ok to take a breather.
Not to say I don’t have all these ideas, just that the oomph to bring them to fruition wasn’t there for me today. But Monday – the blog posting will be back on track so keep an eye out for more home/travel/beauty updates very soon.
Thanks for listening to my ramble! Happy new month, welcome October!
