Everyone knows all about the beauty boxes on the market, but this post is a little intro to an alternative monthly delivery, with more of an all-round lifestyle feel to it. This is the Moi-Meme Box and is probably most comparable to ‘My Little Box’, which is a similar concept. Each box contains a selection of products, a couple of beauty bits but also some mixed bits for other parts of life. So for the most recent box there was a lovely scented candle (a good size, not travel size) that smells like apple pie. DELICIOUS and so very HYGGE. Which makes sense as that’s the theme for this box.
The there’s a pretty little bracelet – a circle with little sparkles on the outside. Very cute and topped over a chunky knit to add a little shine to keeping cosy.
Then beauty wise, there were a couple of interesting products. From a brand called Nuori – not a brand I’ve tried before – but what struck me was that on each item there’s an ‘open by’ date. Which is key to the brand because it’s all about freshness and ensuring how active the ingredients are, knowing that they will break down over time. The brand creates ‘batches’ of it’s products to ensure you don’t have stock sitting on shelves getting less effective as thy age. The two products in the box included a cleanser and a small sample (5ml) of the eye cream.
Then there’s my two favourite items in the box. A pair of super cosy (HYGGE again…) socks. Perfect for keeping toes warm and cosy in dreary January. Plus a cute little bag of lavender. Something I keep in my drawers with clothes as lavender is known to repel moths, plus it smells great.
A really cute box and a nice change from an all-beauty one. But quite an investment as the price of the box might seem quite steep compared to others. At £49.95 a quarter you get one box every three months. Delivery is free in the UK, but £14.95 per box for the rest of the world. The box is promised to be worth at least £75 so you know you will get your money’s worth of product. But it is quite an investment to subscribe to I think and I do wonder how many people will want to hand over that sort of sum to get a selection of products they don’t hand pick themselves. BUT having said that, the contents are really lovely and a great treat. It will just be down to the individual as to if it’s worth it or not.
