There’s a new MAC limited edition collection and it’s a bit of a special one. Over the past few years the number of MAC LE collections that have really excited me have been pretty minimal but this one… hot on the heels of the beautiful Boom Boom Bloom collection has changed all that. This is the MAC Electric Wonder Collection 2019 is a special one. Both inside and outside.

The collection includes two 12 pan eye shadow palettes. One warm bronze neutrals and one cooler toned with a mix of neutrals and some grey/smokey options. Then there’s two marbled highlighters, two ‘barely there’ bronzers (all four being Iridescent Powders) five lip glasses and five lipsticks. Plus a beautiful six pan highlight palette and two brushes.

All the products are housed in some gorgeous packaging. Not that the packaging matters above the products… but let’s face it, pretty packaging makes a collection extra special. The packaging for this is a soft pink marble with gold detailing. It’s beautiful.

But inside the packaging are gorgeous products too. Including my new ultimate nude lipstick. One that I think is already selling out super quickly so if you like the look of it then definitely move fast!

The three main stand out products to me are the 12 pan eye shadow palette in the shade Natural Vice. Filled with beautiful warm toned neutrals. Then of the two highlighters I love the shade Serenity Seeker.

Then there’s the lipsicks. There’s one that’s a really special shade called ‘Let’s Mesa Around’ which is described as a light bubble gum blue pink and is a lustre formula. It’s really creamy and comfortable on the lips and has potentially taken the place of Chanel Boy lipstick as my favourite easy to wear every day nude. It’s probably up there as the one with the most interest (I had LOADS of messages about it when I shared on stories).

For the launch of the collection I went to a masterclass demo from the fab Dominic Skinner – who you may recognise from the BBC show Glow Up (if you haven’t watched, highlight recommend) – he created the beautiful glowing look below with the collection. I loved the tones he used on the eye. He also shared some amazing pro MUA tricks:

• Use a drop of the MAC Essential Oils in the foundation for a glow and skin-loving boost.
• Clean up shadow fall out in the under-eye area using foundation rather than makeup remover… the consistency will pick up the things you don’t want on there, but without disturbing/ruining the makeup already on the skin too much so you can just blend it back out to perfect.
• For a super-quick smokey eye, using a pencil eye liner on the lid that works as base and colour in one. Dominic used the shade Power Surge (core line) for the base of this look and now I definitely need that colour.

The new MAC Electric Wonder Collection 2019 is absolutely stunning. With a lot of glowing inspiration and tones taken from the California desert. I predict this will be a mega sell out so if you want shades definitely get on that as some places are showing as out of stock already.
