Christmas is fast approaching and whilst I’ve totally missed my goal of finishing all my Christmas shopping by the end of November I am slowly but surely ticking off the list. At the same time as sorting my own Christmas shopping I’ve been beavering away at pulling together a selection of gift guides to give a few ideas of possible presents to buy the various beauty junkies in your life. Kicking off with this first one, which is for the skincare obsessed – the ones who coo over makeup free snaps on Insta, are all about that glow and radiant skin. The ones who take a good chunk of time morning and evening on skincare (and maybe 5 minutes on makeup…) here are a few ideas in my skincare obsessive Christmas gift guide.

This trio won me over as soon as I realised the lipgloss looking product was actually an on-the-go version of one of my favourite Bobbi Brown skincare products – the hydrating eye cream. As someone who tends to get dehydrated under my eyes I often carry a little eye cream with me and find that works better to refresh than adding more concealer or makeup so this for me is a total win. Thrown in one of the best glow products with the Illuminating Moisture Balm and a subtle shimmer balm. It’s a trio of fantastic skincare products from a brand that’s sure to make even the fussiest of skincare lovers smile.

One of the reasons I wanted to do a skincare focussed gift guide was knowing how subjective skincare can be, so can be tricky territory to venture into when it comes to buying for others. This is why one of the first on my list to include was this trio from Kate Somerville at SpaceNK. With three of the hero products all from the Goat Milk line from the brand. Soothing and great all rounders. All three of these work an absolute treat for all skin types, I mean who doesn’t want a touch of soothing? I for one adore the Goat Milk cleanser (it’s easily one of my favourite products I’ve tried in 2019) so know this set will make an amazing present.

Now Willowberry is a brand that’s for the skincare obsessive who wants a brand with a sustainable and transparent ethos. This brand is all about their ingredients being clear and not mysterious, packaging being recyclable (all of it, even the tape…) plus everything about the formulas being cruelty free. This is a luxury brand with a selection of very special products and the gift sets with smaller versions of the key products is a great way for someone to be introduced to it. The Cleansing Balm is my favourite of this trio gift set – it includes the Cleansing Balm, Face Oil and Face Cream. All featuring Chia, Rosehip and Vitamin E.

Lixir Skin is one of those very ‘gram friendly brands that looks as good as it promises to make your skin. This trio of products from the brand is a cute little box set of three of their best known products including the Vitamin C Paste (a fab quick and easy morning mask) the Electrogel Cleanser and the Universal Emulsion (works a treat if you want an all rounder as can be used for day and night for face, eyes, lip, neck and beyond).

I can’t mention Instagram friendly skincare without including Drunk Elephant and of course they have one of the ultimate beauty junkie gifts this year (but more on that in a future gift guide). They also have some epic little skincare sets including this one including a whole host of hero daytime skincare products in decent travel sizes. This gift set of ‘shelf’ ready products includes the C-Firma Day Serum (30ml – full size), B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Serum (8ml), D-Bronzi Anti-Pollution Sunshine Drops (8ml), Protini Polypeptide Cream (15ml) and Umbra Sheer Physical Daily Defense SPF30 (15ml). A whole host of ‘ready to face the day’ skincare options. All of which come in a mini ‘bathroom cabinet’ style package with mirror and little shelf inside.

For someone who is pretty serious about their skincare they will no doubt appreciate these small but powerful capsules as a gift. A little luxury addition to their routine that whatever they’re using now, will make a special addition. Also as they’re encapsulated they also have the bonus that they are protected to ensure maximum efficacy when you use each little capsule. The Advanced Ceramide Capsules are a good ‘no fail’ option regardless of skin type.

For anyone who is a fan of natural focussed brands then they will have no doubt heard of the Dr Hauschka Rose Day Cream already. This little trio is a nice way to discover three of the products from the Rose range including the light version of the day cream, a little toner and the cleansing milk. Perfect sizes for a weekend away, so these would work a treat for someone who perhaps likes to travel too.

As I am a sucker for packaging it was this that first caught my eye about this set. A gorgeous box with a silvery London skyline scene on it. What can I say, I’m a sucker for the city I love! Inside the packaging are four of the serums from the Organic Pharmacy skincare range. Which also appeals to my visual side as I am partial to a line up of coloured products. These four serums offer a little something for everyone so make a good gift if you’re A) feeling generous and B) are unsure of the recipients skin concerns! there’s a Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin C, a Retinol Night Serum and an Acid Peel serum in there. So something for everything from hydration, to brightening, refreshing and anti-ageing.
I’m really tempted to try Willowberry — it sounds gorgeous and I love the ethos!
