I love a bit of a shopping spree – always at the start of the month, and then later in the month I tend to regret the spree part… but at the time it feels good and I love the bits I’m left with! So thought I’d do a little ‘show and tell’ about some bits I’ve picked up lately…
No spree for me is complete without something from Topshop… and that something is usually an item of Topshop beauty or yet another addition to my collection of Jamie jeans (as you know, I adore them and will basically pick up every new colour they launch in my size). This is my new ‘Summer’ pair of jeans – a paler, vintage, shade that I will mostly be wearing with converse or sandals and a simple t shirt.
The two nail colours are both Topshop ones – Blue Monday (the blue, obviously) is one I’ve had my eye on for a while. It’s blue, with a hint of purple and with a touch of grey to it to keep it edgy and unusual. The pink is a pure bright pink called ‘High Voltage’ that really caught my eye – for someone who doesn’t love pink, it’s been far more on my radar than usual lately! (Next on the list, if I can track them down… Air Kisses and Celestial!)
Then there’s the turquoise statement necklace from Forver21 – one of those ‘spot it, must buy it’ moments. I adore turquoise – couldn’t resist!
Lastly is a slightly different addition to the wardrobe – these printed, loose trouser/joggers from Dorothy Perkins. I love a comfortable outfit – and figured these might be a nice way to be comfy but dressed up a bit at the same time…. now I have them, I can’t quite decide what to wear them with…strappy heels? Ankle boots? Flats?! Suggestions in the comments please…!

I love all of your purchases! And personally I’ve been dying to try a pair of joggers, I’d love to know how you end up liking them. For the shoes, I would say if you are dressing up the joggers (or even wearing it with a nice shirt) go for the strappy heels! Otherwise I think flats or strappy sandals could work. I would stay away from ankle boots though because ankle boots cut off your legs and paired with the trousers that hit close to the ankle, I feel it might look awkward. That’s just my opinion though!
