100th blog post: Some non-product beauty tips

For the 100th blog post I thought it would be good to write about some home-made beauty tips and tricks and ways to get beautiful, with-out forking out for expensive beauty products.

Homemade body scrub: Mix epsom salts with olive oil for a detox/moisturising scrub.

Fake tan errors: Use a wedge of lemon on streaks and dark spots to fade them quickly.

Spots: A dab of toothpaste on a spot will help to dry it out. Cover the blob with a bit of tissue to help stop getting toothpaste all over your bedsheets.

Under eye bags: I can’t say I have ever tried this one, but apparently haemorrhoid cream works a treat on under eye bags….alternatively, try putting two spoons in the freezer for about 15mins then remove and place them under your eyes, this will feel really refreshing and help reduce puffiness.

Olive oil: Olive oil can be used to condition hair and to soften skin. Put olive oil onto dry hair and wrap in a towel (that will need a wash after) or cling film (for best results) leave on for as long as you can and then rinse out. Follow by a shampoo and condition to leave your hair soft and silky.

I also found that for an over-night moisture boost, a drop of olive oil in your normal moisturiser and apply over-night.
