I love mascara, and I mean REALLY love mascara. It is without a doubt my desert-island beauty must-have and something I would only consider leaving the house without in a very unusual circumstance.
Mascara is one of the first make-up items I started playing with – the first was The Body Shop Clear Mascara – in hindsight, a very pointless item, but still a good start of life as a lash obsessive.
I received a new mascara in a (very fabulous) good bag at an event I recently went to and having used it for a few weeks I have concluded that it is definitely rave-worthy. The brush is some sort of miracle worker in my opinion, a comb applicator (normally not my favorite sort of applicator) this one is somehow different – it is fat, with really small, fine comb ‘prongs’. The formula is smooth, doesn’t clump, dries quickly and doesn’t flake after a day long of wear.
I think the result is really amazing, it delivers super long lashes that somehow still stay looking natural after as many coats as you like. I am wearing the mascara today in a super-natural look, with just two coats on the upper lashes teamed with some under-eye concealer and a dusting of MAC MSF Natural (light) with a tiny bit of MAC MSF Perfect topping on the cheek bones.
Anyway, enough of my wittering on. Check out the pictures below to see what I mean about the mascara. The first picture shows one eye with no mascara and the other (on the right on the screen) is one coat of the Max Factor Mascara. The second, larger picture is a close up of two coats.
Left: No Mascara. Right: One Coat Max Factor False Lash Effect.
Two Coats of Max Factor False Lash Effect Mascara.
Overall verdict? Love this mascara, perhaps it looks more impressive-natural than false-lash, but either way I love it and will be using this one and would be happy to re-purchase.
