Illamasqua make up amnesty: will you be throwing down your neutrals?

I recently received an email from Illamasqua that I found quite interesting – they are putting out a call to arms to ‘Ditch the make-up drudgery and embrace the extraordinary.’

Ok, so I better not let them see my make-up bag….

Despite being a pretty much die-hard neutrals kinda gal (who thinks that the ‘ordinary’ pic above is rather lovely), I do think this is a fantastic idea – the call to arms basically invites you to take any old make-up item to an Illamasqua counter and hand it over, in exchange for 25% off. This isn’t just on one product either, it can be for the whole transaction.

I like the idea of getting into the sprit of the brand – which is undeniably distinctive, but the first thing that came into my head was ooh… I could get 25% off another lilac nail varnish. I think I need to mix it up a little.

Anyway, below is some more info about the offer…

Are you going to take part? If so, what are you swapping and what do you want to buy with the discount?

To encourage people to embrace the extraordinary, Illamasqua invites you to join the make-up revolution. For a limited time only, you can exchange your second-rate, bland or mediocre make-up for a 25% discount on Illamasqua’s highly pigmented and exceptional products that give truly extraordinary results.

The Mechanics

Bring in any product from any brand and trade it in for any Illamasqua product at a 25% discount.

The 25% discount will apply to all the items in the one transaction.

There is no minimum or indeed maximum number of products that they can bring in.The product can be used; empty, broken, smashed you name it.The offer is across all categories.

The Illamasqua Make- up Amnesty will begin from 17th – 31st July and is available in:

Selfridges Oxford Street, Manchester Trafford Centre, Birmingham Bullring, Fenwick Newcastle, BT2 Grafton Street Dublin, Debenhams Glasgow, Belfast and Cardiff
