I’m such a sheep.
These lippies have started popping up all over blog-land and based on the various descriptions (glossy, sheer, easy to wear, flattering colours…) I knew I had to pick one up. So I did, the first I went for was Belle – the slightly darker shade in the picture (on the right). This is truly a ‘my lips but better’ shade. There isn’t much I can really add to other bloggers reviews – this lippie really is the easiest thing to wear. Almost a middle ground between lipstick and lip gloss, the colour is subtle enough to be applied without a mirror, but not quite so subtle it’s pointless to wear them. They really are ideal for summer.
I liked this one so much that I went back on Saturday and picked up another (yep, I missed the 3 for 2 deal… but I did get 100 extra advantage card points and a freebie for spending over £6…. something I haven’t done on 17 products since I was about 17….). Bee-Hive is probably the most popular colour in the blogosphere – a pale nude-pink, another one that is easy to wear, subtle, glossy, light-weight….
All in all, lovely lippies – I now want to pick up the bright orange/coral and the Hollywood red. But fear I might be going to far, considering I don’t think I have ever finished a lipstick in my life!
Only one issue – the light weight texture means that I found when applying and swatching these it was really easy to ‘mush’ the lipstick into the side of the tube (mush is the technical term…). Bit of a pain and doubt these would survive a heat wave – get them in the fridge if the temp gets too high!
So have you picked any of these up?? What do you think??
These lippies cost about £4.50 each (and as I said – you can get 100 extra advantage card points if you buy one at the moment).
**The Small Print**
I bought these myself.
I seen these on Friday, lovely packaging, but I didn’t buy any because I couldn’t swatch tester’s =(.
Maybe try my other Boots sometime.
Bee-Hive is a nice easy looking colour to wear =).
I like the packaging.
Using a brush always gives a better result than using the lippie directly on the lips but it does make it look gross and you are fairly committed to using a brush for all time. Brushes also mean you can get the last little bit of every lippie should you want to.
So funny, I am totally the same, i bought beehive at the weekend and have a review to do on it.. blogland makes me buy stuff!!
Belle looks gorg!

Belle looks awesome!
The packaging is v.flash! Love the colour though – the lid isn’t really that sturdy but does the job.
