Urban Decay Smoked Palette

As promised in my A/W Urban Decay post here’s a little look at the rather gorgeous Smoked Palette from Urban Decay. My favourite thing about this palette are the combination of neutrals and deeper jewel shades – so you can do a standard, day-to-day look, or you can add a pop of shimmering, deep colour. All in a little zip-close palette that’s pretty travel friendly.
The kit also comes with a smaller sized primer potion (in my opinion, this is the best primer I’ve tried) an eyeliner and a little book with look tutorials and illustrations of the different looks you can create.  I think the addition of the little book means this would make a lovely gift for someone.
Natrual Light
L-R: Kinky, Freestyle, Mushroom, Backdoor, Blackout
L-R: Barlust, Rockstar, Evidence, Loaded, Asphalt

Just look at those swatched – they’re what beauty blogger dreams are made of! Pigmented, creamy, gorgeous shades, not heavy on the glitter… I’m impressed. My favourite shades from the palette (the ones I will wear the most often) are – Mushroom, Barlust and Asphalt. Yep, all in the happy neutrals camp – but if I was going to turn it up a notch with a colour Rockstar would be my number one pick. I do like that there are some neutral matte shades in there too so it’s not all too shimmery.
So what do you think of this palette and the shades?
Urban Decay is available from Debenhams (this palette is currently reduced to £31.50)

Ooh I love the colours in this palette! So nice that they’ve included colours to do a classic smokey eye, but also some brighter colours so that you can change it up.

I love the look of this palette–it looks perfect. I wish I could justify getting it but I am already an eyeshadow hoarder! lol!!
