It’s back… GOSH Holographic Hero

The polish that legends are made of…

Maybe a slight exaggeration, but this little baby did cause quite a stir when it was originally released by GOSH, selling out all over and then being one of those elusive ebay finds where you shell out more than a Chanel polish to take it home. But lust-after no more, this beauty is back and will be in Superdrug stores in August and the best news…it’s permanent!

This polish is now a firm favourite of mine, as it has this magical quality where in some lights it just looks like a simple grey/silver shade, and then in others it’s like there’s a little disco going on one each of my fingers. My inner magpie gets distracted by the prettiness and I love it.

Apparently the first time around this polish was also known for its terrible staying power, known to chip in under 24hours… hence why this time they have called it a ‘one night only’ – to kind-of give the heads-up that it might not last as long as other colours, but is special all the same.
I actually found it lasted pretty well – with a base coat, three coats of colour and a top coat it lasted two days before there was some small chipping on a couple of nails (but these are ones that are a bit flaky and in bad shape anyway, so not 100% down to the polish), my overall view is that the colour is worth it and this will definitely be in my current top 5 nail colours (I should probably do an updated top 5 post at some point…)
Available from August in Superdrug £4.99

I have to say it’s the worst holo I have ever had. I would recommend the Glitter Gal holos and the newish one by Jessica. More expensive but FAR superior application. I could never get the GOSH to apply easily w/out streaks and I had several bottles and tried different base coats.

If you can get another holo then you really should.

*Kermit the Frog flail* So happy to see this back!

This stuff is gorgeous on, but the application is perhaps the worst of any polish I have ever used. You almost have to blob it on to the nails, filling in the million patches :-/
