Palmers Oil Spray

This is a bit of a rapid review for you. But when this little bottle of Palmers Cocoa Butter Formula Skin Therapy Oil Spray (quite a mouthful so I’ll call it Palmers Oil Spray) arrived it was one product that instantly made it from the envelope into the bathroom and in daily use. See, I’m the sort of girl who has to apply moisturiser daily or else I just feel more like that Cactus on the left of the shot… with dry/prickly skin that’s all round uncomfortable. I also love a body oil – what I don’t like though is products that are either A) Messy or B) Take an age to dry (if you have ever tried to put on skinny jeans whilst your skin is still freshly moisturised you will know what I mean). So this was music to my ears – a body oil in a spray form.

Having said that, there’s many a body spray out there. What’s different about this one is that it’s a proper aerosol spray and not a pump action one. I find in general pump action dispensers and oil just don’t work well together as they pretty much always leak in some way or another. I’m talking all oils here, not just body…

But this one sprays on easily. Leaving a fine mist (also leaves fine mist on floor – so I do suggest standing on bath matt or towel and watch your footing afterwards as the oil can turn a smooth surface into a bit of an ice rink too). But it leaves just the right amount of product that just needs very light rubbing in and you’re good to go. Scent wise, it’s a cross between the cocoa butter one and the rosehip fragrance it’s labled as. I would love to see different fragrance variations on this product. But all round – an instant thumbs up from me for basically taking what’s essentially a really simple idea and making it work better than I’ve seen others do it. Hopefully more aerosol body oil sprays will follow as this one is ace.

This sounds amazing, I love the palmers cocoa butter products and I’m the same when it comes to moisturising before getting dress so something like this would be perfect! I need to grab some soon! X

This sounds amazing! I’m so lazy when it comes to moisturising so this makes it sounds so much more easier and faster! Thanks for sharing x

Love Palmers. Someone recently said that their moisturiser with a hint of self tan is amazing and doesn’t smell gross either.

And while there’s usually nothing wrong with using oils on oily skin, I do find the oil-free texture appeals to those at war with grease. It’s frustrating that the UK is denied the full Neutrogena skincare range – it’s consistently fantastic and often the first thing I stock up on when visiting America.
