LOccitane have just launched their new ‘Fleur Cherie’ collection, featuring a range of easy to wear make-up colours and orange blossom scented fragrance and body products. In typical L’Occitane style, the range is gorgeously packaged and presented.
I’ve been testing out a few bits of the make-up range including the lippie, eyeliner, blusher and lip gloss locket. The lip gloss locket compact was an absolute stand-out for me as it’s just gorgeous. I’ve always had a thing for lockets – I just think they are really special. The colours of the lip gloss/balm from the locket are very sheer (as you can see from the swatches) with a little bit of shimmer
|L-R: Lippie, Blusher, Eyeliner, golden gloss and pinky gloss.
The lipstick is a gorgeous warm pink shade, I found it hard to capture it quite right on camera (in either natural, artificial or flash light!) but the image I’ve used is about as close as I can get. It’s creamy and very daytime friendly as it has a slight sheerness to it. The packaging is really pretty, but not too practical – the cardboard outer tube will probably go the way of a Benefit blush box if you tote it around daily with you and end up quite battered. But looked after and it’s lovely.
The eyeliner was really impressive for me – very dark, smooth and no dragging to apply, even on the waterline. When set, it lasted really well too. I tried this on the upper lash line too and it was really easy to blend for a smokier look.
Next up is the blusher – a mauvey/pinkish shade with shimmer it’s another one that isn’t that pigmented so no need to be scared, but can be built up. The shimmer means it works for those lacking in defined cheek bones line me (a bit of highlight works a treat to create fake cheek bones!) the colour is a nice alternative to the brighter pinks I normally go for – a bit more subtle for winter. Plus – check out the gorgeous pattern on the blusher!
So there we have my views of the products I’ve been testing. Now it’s your chance to win a Fleur Cherie gift set, containing a lip gloss locket compact, shimmer pearls, a soap and the fragrance (which smells good enough to eat by the way).
