Aveda Smooth Infusion

Having straight, blonde hair that is fairly blah it’s pretty much an ongoing challenge to keep my hair looking healthy and shiny at the same time as also not lacking volume and looking flat. Anyone with blonde hair will know how it’s almost impossible to get it looking anywhere near as shiny as those with darker hair colours.
The new Aveda Smooth Infusion range promises to create silky smooth locks, which is great – but being a tad cynical I had a feeling that by silky smooth they would also mean flat as a pancake.
So as the first step in a month long challenge I, along with a few other bloggers, went down to the Aveda salon to be shown a bit about the services and to have our hair wash and blown-dry with the new Aveda Smooth Infusion range.
The salon is huge and very impressive, it has a lovely little coffee shop/snack bar at the front and shop selling the products plus two floors of hair salon and a beauty salon/treatment area. This is the place where they test out everything Aveda before it hits the salons all over the country.
So without further ado, I thought I’d show you my oh-so-fabulous (ahem) before and after photos. Bear in mind that these were taken after a full day of work and if you put me in front of some sort of professional camera I will basically freeze up – so focus on the hair and not my face. Thanks very much.
Before – check out the frizzy parting area and dry/blah looking ends. Nice.
After – yes, I look awkward, but I definitely think my hair looks sleek but most
importantly, healthy without being flat.
I am now continuing to use the Aveda Smooth Infusion products for the next month and will report back how I get on, without professional lighting and a hair dresser to style my hair!

Can’t wait to try this – love the after effects, although your before wasn’t bad either! I noticed you put Avon instead of Aveda in your post and thought you might want to know. xx

  2. Thanks Claire! Have updated – getting my ‘A’ brands confused… doh! 🙂 x
