Possible changes to A beauty junkie in London: I want your views!

I’ve been thinking for a while that I wanted to make some changes to A beauty junkie in London, to give it a bit of a refresh.  Now that the New Year is here it seems like a good a time as any but I’m still not 100% sure so I thought I’d ask you what you think…

There is no way that I’m losing the beauty side of things – that’s my reason and motivation for blogging! But I was thinking of starting to incorporate a bit more ‘London’ into the mix? A few posts here and there about places to see & things to do in the big smoke?

It’s not a done deal yet, just putting it out there – would you be interested to read a bit more of a mixture of beauty and London posts or want it to stay as just beauty? Open to suggestions about what you would like to read more of – just comment below.

Thank you!

I think that sounds like a really good idea. Anyway, blogs read best when the writer enjoys what they’re writing about so go for it!xxx

I love the content of the blog as it is but stuff like cool insiders london stuff would be really good for people who don’t live in London but visit – maybe like a cool independent cafe or hidden
    away museums?

As I said, love it currently so well done and keep up the good work!

I would love to see some posts about London. I sometimes go down to visit my brother, and would like to hear about good places to go shopping! I always just head to oxford street and covent garden, but I am sure there are loads of better places I could be going.

You should blog about whatever makes you happy and if that includes writing about London Toooown then that’s cool because then your posts will be just as entertaining as your beauty posts. You’ll only know if you enjoy it if you give it a try.

But…i’m guessing loads of your subscribers don’t live in London so maybe be careful not to overdo it or people may feel left out of the loop! xoxo

I love your blog the way it is but I would love to hear a bit about london. . .i live really far away and have only visited once with my boyfriend. We didn’t know where was nice and not too pricey to eat so ended up going to chain restaurants so i give the thumbs up!

Definitely not. If I want to go to a travel site, I’ll go to a travel site. I see this happening with other bloggers – they get bored and start writing about everything under the sun. So I get bored, because only 1 percent of what they write is then about the topic for which I subscribed in the first place. Maybe for Americans who have not been to London it’s interesting, but again, I’d encourage them to find London blogs instead of beauty blogs for that.

I think it’s a fantastic idea! I live in London but find it hard to find nice places to go so stick o the ones I know well and then get bored! and going out more and discovering new places is one of my new year resolutions! So if you feel like it go for it! I will certainly be reading your London posts!

Keep to beauty definitely. Love your beauty blog and would probably stop reading it if it had ‘london’ stuff as if I wanted to read about that would go elsewhere.

Thanks everyone for the feedback, really appreciate it – I am of course keeping the blog mainly beauty, as that’s the number one reason I started it. But where I feel that it might be vaguely interesting I might include London relevant stuff – but it’s certainly not going to turn into a travel blog, don’t worry. Thanks again all! x
