Viva La Juicy & Juicy Couture Travel Fragrances

I’ve never tried any of the Juicy fragrances before, but had definitely become very curious when I heard lots of talk in blog-land about them. And there is nothing like blog talk to make me want to try something!

The two fragrances are:
Viva La Juicy (the gold bottle with the pink bow) is a sweet and fruity fragrance, that is definitely the ‘younger’ of the two.
Top notes: wild berries and mandarin.
Heart notes: gardenia, jasmine and honeysuckle.
Base notes: amber, sandalwood, praline, caramel and vanilla. (the base notes almost sounds like a delicious desert… praline, caramel and vanilla- yes please!)
Scent wise this was definitely my favourite – it’s fruity and fresh and feels very girly! On first spray I found it a bit too sweet, but given a bit of time to settle and let the base notes come through, it’s much softer than first impressions.

Juicy Couture (the silver bottle with the strawberry charm)
On the packaging alone I thought this would be my favourite, but the scent just isn’t me. I felt this one was a lot older.
Top Notes: Watermelon, mandarin, pink passion fruit
Heart Notes: Wild rose, princess lily and tuberose
Base Notes: Creme brulee, precious woods and patchouli
Fragrance really is such a personal thing!
But scent aside, I love how bling-tastic the packaging of both of these travel versions of the fragrance are! So very ‘Juicy Couture’! I like the little charms that come with the bottles, these can be removed if you want to use them as a key ring or phone charm etc… whatever you choose. The bottles have a clever lid that is attached to the bottle and just slides open or shut to reveal the spray. So no chance of these breaking in your hand bag.
Each of the traveller fragrances cost £39.50 for 30ml and practical traveling size aside, I think they make very pretty presents (just make sure the fragrance will suit the person). Are you a Juicy fan???

I have been wanting to try the Juicy fragrances but they are just so expensive here – they cost just as much as Chanel and Dior perfumes and I just feel it’s too much.
Also, I don’t think the fragrances are that unique, I feel you can find a cheaper alternative that smells just as good.
    I do love the packaging, though… 🙂
