The much-anticipated, and rumour-fuelled fragrance by Lady Gaga has recently hit shelves… and just look at it, it’s pretty special. A black liquid, yes – the fragrance is actually black. Housed in a sleek glass bottle with her signature claw in metal for a lid.Β
This isn’t just your average celebrity fragrance.
Saying that, I’m not the worlds greatest Gaga fan (although I do like some of her music) and the lure of her creating the perfume alone isn’t enough to personally get me into shops – it’s all about how it smells for me. And I am pleasantly surprised – I like it. It isn’t a ‘shocking’ scent, with any of the rather gross ingredients that were claimed at first – but it is interesting, and safe at the same time. As with any scent, it’s pretty much pointless me saying how good it smells or whatever as it’s such a subjective thing to like or not like a perfume.
But overall, for me it would be a nighttime fragrance mostly, but not so strong/overpowering that it would be odd to wear in the day time. And I do love that it’s a black fluid – for me, that’s the feature that gives this the edge (of Glory…. – sorry, couldn’t help myself).
As I said, perfume is very subjective – and luckily I have been sent two bottles of this. So I have one to give away and for you to make up your own mind on Mother Monster’s first foray into the world of fragrance.Β
