Britney Cosmic Radiance

I am a BIG Britney fan, and I mean BIG.

I wasn’t kidding…

I have all her albums, I know all the songs. I have a Britney related memory for pretty much all parts of growing up (I remember buying ‘Hit Me Baby One More Time’ from HMV in Glasgow when I was about 14, ‘Sometimes’ reminds me of silly teenage breakups, ‘I’m a Slave 4 U’ and ‘Toxic’ are uni memories, ‘Circus’ of cooking my first dinner party meal… I could go on, but you get the picture!)

Check this out – the original (probably considered vintage now) Hit Me Baby One More Time single…
who would have remembered, Britney was a redhead!?

With so many memories, it’s tough to narrow it down to a favourite. But I would have to say that my all time favourite Britney song is I’m a Slave for You. She looks amazing in the video, the song will never fail to make me want to dance… and have you seen a better stomach?! Talk about gym motivation…

I know I’m getting into full on girl-crush territory too (and don’t deny it, Britney is awesome).  I still use some classic Britney pics as hair inspiration. Oh how I wish I had thick, long, slightly wavy hair like this…

Anyway, enough girl-crushing from me.

The main reason for this post, other than to share my love of Britney, is to talk about the latest in the Britney fragrance empire. Did you know Britney is number 1 in the celebrity fragrance market? Her latest addition is called ‘Cosmic Radiance’.

Probably due to my soft-spot for Britney, but I’ve previously built up quite a collection of her fragrances, with my so-far favourite being ‘Believe’ – I absolutely love it, it’s fresh and citrussy and it reminds me of holidays. I mention ‘Believe’, because on first spray Cosmic Radiance reminds me of it – but it changes when it settles on the skin.

Cosmic Radiance is a sensual floral fragrance, inspired by the idea of ‘luminous sensuality’. On first spritz it’s quite a strong, citrus fragrance, with floral heart notes but then the base notes that it dries down too are lovely – a mixture of amber, soft vanilla and creamy sandalwood. This is a fragrance that is well worth trying and letting it settle on skin – the scent that lingers is lovely and more grown up than I expect from a ‘celebrity’ perfume.

Cosmic Radiance launches 21st September.

Also, you will have to fight me for this – but there’s a competition running to win tickets to Britney’s Femme Fatale tour, that’s running from 21st (eeek, today!) to 18th October. You can win EVERY HOUR, just head over to www.cosmicradiance.co.uk to find out how to win. And if you do, and need a plus one….

I’ve got a soft spot for Britney fragrances too – I got Believe for my birthday and it’s really different to the others (still nice though)

I am not a fan of celebrity fragances in general, but I have to admit that Britney has some good ones. My favourite is Midnight Fantasy. Well, she is backed by Elizabeth Arden…

I haven’t smelled Cosmic Radiance yet, but I am intrigued!

Although I don’t share the love of ‘sleb’ fragrances either, I most certainly share the love of Britney! ‘Til the World Ends’… best running song ever. It single handedly lost me 2kgs. The lady still has it!
