Jumping on the statement nail bandwagon…

I’ll admit, I’m a bit late to the part on this one. The statement nail thing has been around for ages and in my usual style, I’ve only decided I like it when the rest of the world is moving on to something else.
This is my version of the ‘statement nail’, or basically where one nail is a different colour or glittery. For this I used Nails Inc Bloomsbury Square (the glitter) and Regents Palace – the deep shimmery purple, both from Nails Inc.
I actually created this nail look for a Nails Inc blogger competition, where the winner could have their own Nails Inc nail polish designed and named by them actually go on Sale. It’s an amazing prize that I’d love to win, I’m just kicking myself a little bit for being so clumsy and rubbish at nail art! So no, mine isn’t the most intricate or creative nail look in the group – but I like it! If you would like to be really lovely and head over to the Nails Inc Facebook Page and like my picture as a vote for my nail look that would be amazing!

Subtly blingy – I like it!

Ooooooooooooooooh, that purple! I’m not usually a fan of the statement nail (with the exception of maybe putting a gem on it) but thats really nice. Usually statement nails look wonky and weird to me!

I love new dark and glitter topping polishes, only I am afraid I’ll look stupid wearing them. I am in my lite 50’s, but love fast forward fashion. My girl that does my nails tells me to go for it. What do you think?

@Dori – I say go for it! Maybe if you’re a bit unsure then start with a classic colour like a deep red and see how you feel with it before braving the brighter colours?! But I say if you want to, then do it! Worst case scenario, you can always remove it!

Quick question – how chip resistant is the Regents Palace one? I was looking at it in Boots last week and I LOVE the colour but I have stacks of bottles I only use once because they chip after one day. 🙂
