My pick of the shoes are the little animal print pumps** – whilst I love the turquoise snakeskin heels, I think the animal print will definitely be more wearable! Although the snakeskin heels really are stunning…
This champagne/bronze coloured sequin top is lovely and can see it working year round – in Summer with a tan or in Winter for a bit of festive bling. I love the shade, metallic but still a little toned-down.
One of my favourite items I spotted was this dalmatian/leopard print top with green zip detail at the back – one of the girls at the event was wearing it and it looks lovely and it’s only £16. Definitely on my list for when I get paid.
There was also this teal/turquoise dress – I found it looks totally different in real life to how it does in the picture. The colour is richer in person and the fabric is light jersey, that seems to hang nicely – in the picture online it looks a little shinier and less flexible than it really is.
That was the best thing about going along to this event – it was really good to be able to look at the clothes in person to get an idea of the feel and quality of them. It’s one of those things you can never quite be sure of when order from an online-only retailer.
Loved these cute little floral culottes – the little floral print and the dark waist band. These would be a nice way to move slowly into spring – with dark tights and boots, then maybe braving bare legs as it gets warmer.
My two favourite pieces from the press day were from the Coleen collection (as in Rooney) first was a leather jacket – biker style and the leather was gorgeously soft and lovely. Definitely another advantage to seeing these items in person. I think for £125 this is definitely a worthwhile investment piece, it would be even better if available in a brown/tan version too.
There was also a fitted royal blue dress with rounded stud detail neckline. I love this dress, can see if being really flattering – the waist cinches in but the skirt skims over lumps and bumps, it’s fitted but not flowy and the colour was gorgeous – plus the stud detail keep it a little on the edgy side.
So overall, the best thing about the event was that it really drew my attention to the range available from Very.co.uk and gave me a good idea of the level of quality – I have to say that the pictures on the website don’t totally do justice to a lot of the items, so can somehow see that it might be difficult to know what you are getting when you buy online.
My top pics have to be the blue dress and leather jacket from the Coleen collection and the dalmatian/leopard print top.
There’s also a whole beauty section on the site, that I never realised! Stay tuned to the blog though as I have a rather exciting beauty giveaway coming soon from the folks at Very.co.uk….
Disclosure: **Animal print shoes and blusher were gifted at the event.
