Winter skin saviours

The combination of a long flight, the big freeze in the UK plus a cold has meant my skin has gone a bit bonkers and stupidly dry. So these are the beauty saviours I’ve been relying on to keep it under control.
This Herbalife Skin Activator Lip Refiner is creamy and does the job – it tastes of mint too, but not strong menthol – a nice herbal mint flavour. It really has been saving my chapped lips from being really painful.
My next winter skin saviour is then Blue Orchid Face Treatment Oil from Clarins. I have professed my love of oils for skin – as cleansers and as moisturisers. This one is an absolute God-send for dehydrated skin. I’ve been applying a few drops to my whole face and neck (and sometimes hands too). The initial feeling is ok, sometimes it feels like I might need an extra moisture boost. But I resist the urge, sleep and then in the morning my skin feels amazing – like it’s been pumped full of moisturiser overnight.
For those of you who are worried that using an oil will cause a break out, I’ve been using this on and off since December as a skin treat and every day for the past week as my skin has been quite dry and have had absolutely no issues with congestion or breakouts. If anything my skin has felt more balanced with fewer odd spots popping up than they normally would.
If you have dehydrated skin or it’s suffering in the winter cold, I’d definitely suggest checking out skin oils to help. It really makes a difference.

I’ve heard so many good reviews on the Clarins Oil, so tempted to purchase as this weather is drying my skin out terribly! 🙁

I have oily skin, but still love a good facial oil for a boost every now and then. I tend to use Trilogy Rosehip Oil. I’ve heard lots about Blue Orchid and I definitely have to give it a go.

I’m also using Trilogy’s rosehip oil (so amazing), and I think I am going to give Clarin’s Blue Orchid oil treatment a go too, it seems to have a lot of good reviews!

That oil looks lovely! I was wary of using oils on my face but I’ve read a few good reviews of this and I’m convinced. xx
