Current skincare

It’s been a while since I did a round up post on my current skin care routine, so thought now is a good time – since my skin is feeling pretty happy at the moment and the products I’m using day to day have been pretty consistent since the beginning of the year. These are my current day to day face essentials!
Jo Malone Vitamin E Moisturising Day Cream*:
First up is a gorgeous little skin care product from Jo Malone. To be totally honest, I was a bit oblivious to Jo Malone actually doing skin care products as part of the rang – but they do, and this one is lovely. Something about it made me expect it to be heavy – but it’s actually quite light, absorbs in nicely and really hydrates. It is very moisturising though so would suggest better for dry skin rather than oily. I really like the high SPF value too (note to self: 2012 I will wear SPF daily).
In other news… earlier this year Jo Malone announced that it had taken on Charlotte Stockdale as ‘Style Editor’ for the brand and apparently have quite a few changes ahead. I’m really interested to see what this will translate into for the brand…
Other skincare favourites include:
Clarins Water Comfort One Step Cleanser (Normal to Dry Skin)*
Whilst this is called a cleanser, I pretty much use it like a toner. In the two skincare camps of toners as amazing or toners as pointless, I’m on the amazing side. I find them really refreshing and love them as part of my routine.
No7 Cleanse and Care Eye Make Up Remover:
This is my tried-and-trusted go-to for eye make-up removal. I always stock up on this when the £5 vouchers are doing the rounds (to the point where I think I have about 4 bottles stashed away…)
Clarins Blue Orchid Treatment Oil*:
I mentioned this as one of my winter skin products. This is currently my night moisturiser of choice, and I absolutely love it! I also use this on my hands to give them an overnight boost too.
This Works Tired Eye Cream*:
I’ve been using this as a daytime eye cream, as my eyes seem to be constantly in need of more moisture. This is light enough for under make-up, feels really refreshing and keeps eyes hydrated (even when I spend far too many hours staring at a computer screen)
Murad T Zone Refining Gel*:
Whilst my eyes and cheeks are dry, my t-zone is oily…the joys of combination skin. So this is my current preferred t-zone treater. I find it really helps balance things out, without over drying this area as I sometimes find oily skin products can do.
Murad AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser*:
This is one of the best products I’ve received in a beauty box to date! Although technically it wasn’t from one of the actual boxes, but from the one I made myself at the Glossy Box bloggers event a few months ago. It’s a great exfoliator, gentle, but still with the little scrubby bits so it feels like it’s working. Plus it lasts for AGES as you only need a small amount.
No7 Beautiful Skin Quick Thinking Wipes:
I don’t really use wipes to properly take make-up off, but I do like them as a quick refresher and these are my current favourites. Not a whole lot to say about them really – they just do the job!
I should also mention that cleanser wise, I have been using the lovely oil cleanser from Nip&Fab, but this just ran out (so have moved on to another oil cleanser from Shu Uemura) but as it’s early days didn’t want to include it as an essential just yet.

Products with a * are PR samples. Others bought by me.
