Bourjois 1 Seconde ‘Bleu Water’

This week I have been sporting blue nails courtesy of this pretty little polish from Bourjois. The shade is 08 ‘Bleu Water’ from their new 1 Seconde ‘Gel’ line (an update on the original 1 Seconde line). It’s a powdery, creamy blue with zero shimmer.

It applies well and two coats did the job, it did dry to touch quickly but then I did find I had a few sheet marks the morning after painting my nails. I wore this for two days before I added the No7 gold glittery top coat from their Summer collection to mix things up a bit and get a couple of extra days before changing polish shade (or as I like to call it, the lazy beauty junkie’s manicure).

I actually just changed polishes before writing this and used the fabulous Bourjois  magic nail varnish remover that I mentioned here – even with the glitter it did a great job. I found it took all the polish off, only the big chunks of sparkle were left on the nail, but they weren’t ‘stuck down’ and just brushed off easily. Top marks to Bourjouis…now if they could just design a just as easy version for toes that would be amazing…!
Bourjois and No7 both available from boots.com

I love the combination, that shade of blue is gorgeous! I’ve currently got blue on my nails too (Models Own Feeling Blue) but it’s more of a primary blue colour. I don’t tend to like blue nail varnish but I’ve been more drawn to it recently for some reason x
