Anyone who reads this blog regularly will have gathered that I’m a BIG fan of oils as part of my beauty routine – especially oils cleansers or overnight treatment oils. But it’s only recently that I’ve discovered body oil as a replacement for my usual body lotion. I think I had memories of attempting to use baby oil as a moisturiser and being left with greasy skin rather than moisturised….
The latest body oil in my life is from Aromatherapy Associates ‘Renew’ Rose Massage and Body Oil. It comes in a sleek glass bottle, with a pump to avoid mess. Because as nice as body oils are for the skin, they can make a bloomin’ mess of a bathroom.
The scent of this is quite light, and although I don’t love rose scents, I like the smell of this one. I tend to use this as a more pampering treat after a bath or just before bed – then in the morning my skin feels wonderfully soft and pampered, but not greasy at all. If you have dry skin then a body oil can be an absolute God-send!
