Here’s a little peek at the contents of my August Glossy Box – the ‘international superstars’ edition. With the Olympics (sob, missing them already) just over, it’s a nice touch to have an international themed box.
So what’s in it…
So my August box contains:
DHC Cleansing Oil (from Japan): This stuff is amazing, it’s the first cleansing oil I ever tried and it genuinely changed my life. Well, my skincare life, forever.
Broadway Nails imPRESS Press-On Manicure (from America): I’ve tried these before, they’re good for a quick fix manicure – they last really well. I don’t love the nail design of these, but not so much that I wouldn’t wear them.
Alessandro Pro White (from Germany): I’ve not tried this yet, but it’s a blue-tinged nail polish to prevent nails from looking yellow.
Vera Velenti Palette (from Spain): Selection of eye shadows – to be honest the colours are a bit random (green and neutrals?) and at first I wondered if it was a concealer palette. This is the thing in this months box that I’m least likely to use.
Lipcote (from the UK): Not the most glam product, but there’s nothing better out there for keeping bright lip colours in place all day.
Glossybox Lipstick in ‘Glossy Pink’: The colour looks a bit more coral in the picture than it does in real life but it is a pretty suit-all shade. Nice little extra in the box!
My overall view, this is another one of those boxes that I think is a great example of what these boxes are about – you love some, some are a bit ‘meh’ and others are new brands you have never heard of. I’m most excited to try the DHC oil again – seriously, if you have this in your box, try it – you won’t look back to the time before cleansing oil!
