In the ‘cycle’ of beauty, I think Spring time is my favourite – I love the launches of new colours and amazing collections that seem to shake off the frost of winter and bring the excitement and hope of warmer days ahead. One of the collection that definitely has me ‘ooh-ing’ and ‘ahh-ing’ is the ‘Pretty Naughty’ collection from Estee Lauder.
Here’s a little peek at some of the goodies from the collection…
First up is the gorgeous smokey purple-grey nail polish ‘Insatiable’ (what a perfect name for ‘Pretty Naughty’), a shade I’ve always had a huge weakness for those gorgeous murky colours and this is no different. Packaging wise, Estee Lauder have some of the cutest bottles out there – and the little glass cube also makes them extremely handy for storing…but that’s just the storage geek in me talking.
Then there’s the Illuminating Powder Gelee Blusher in ‘Tease’ – a glowing pink with a frosty highlight to give a glow but the pink keeps it flattering. This is the sort of shade that will be equally flattering on pale skin now and on tanned skin as the Summer progresses (when it gets here!). I love this as it’s totally different to anything else I have in my collection – I have highlighters galore and blushers to keep me looking flushed for years, but this has to be the first in my collection to be a pink toned cross over and very happy to have it I am too!
Then we have some rather amazing lip products – Sheer Matte Lipsticks – the shade I’ve been playing with is ‘Rebel’ a true hot pink. There’s also Naked, Rock Candy and Demure – ranging from a pretty coral to a super-bright pinky/red at the launch event where I got to play with all of them I absolutely fell for Naked – the pretty coral shade of the four. There’s a pretty high likelihood that this may be coming home with me next time I pass an Estee Lauder counter with Boots points to spend! These are really special – matte, but not drying – and they’re sheer, so a refreshing change on the usual opaque colour.
The collection also includes an eyeshadow palette with a mixture of pink/lilac and turquoise shades plus a nude brown and a black liner shade in the middle. Then there’s a double ended black/turquoise liner that compliments the palette perfectly.
Normally I’m a total sucker for eyeshadow palettes – but from this collection the winner for me is definitely the gorgeous Powder Gelee blusher. If you’re only to buy one thing from the collection, this I’d highly recommend! Oh, but move fast – it’s a Limited Edition Collection!
