Exercise, for me is always the first thing I can cross off my ‘must do’ list, there always seems to be something more important on my list and especially when the weather is so miserable it does become really tough to get your butt off the warm, comfy sofa and up and working out.

But when an email from Sweaty Betty arrived in my inbox I was interested – would being part of an online community perhaps help give me the kick up the bum I need??

This is my first post as a member of #TheFitCrowd – I’ve always lusted after the gorgeous stylish but practical workout gear from the brand, and now – as an extra boost for my work out mission I have a fab selection of items to wear whilst I sweat it out! I actually think this is a big deal, as someone who normally wears a baggy t-shirt I’d probably also wear to sleep in, plus a pair of greying/holey leggings… I’m hardly the picture of a stylish, fit and active person! But there’s something about wearing the right gear that makes me feel the part and more comfortable in my own skin.

On the items I picked out as my #TheFitCrowd kit – I went for a pair of amazing asics trainers, that I’m pretty much in love with – a bright pink/coral shade with black laces and really comfy.  I picked out a pair of full length leggings – black with coral piping to match the trainers… then two grey tops – a long sleeved one for working out outside and a slouchy yoga vest top for indoor exercise. I then selected an essential turquoise sports bra. Gotta keep those puppies from bouncing! Then to top off the kit I have the all important water bottle.

So I have my kit – what am I actually *doing* exercise wise?! To kick off the #TheFitCrowd experience we all enjoyed a ‘Barrecore’ class – a fusion of ballet/yoga/pilates…and I’m not going to lie. It was intense! It was great fun, but something I need to combine with cardio to get the sort of results I want to be seeing. In addition to this I have two pretty unique exercise experiences coming up that I will be blogging about very soon! First up I have Bikram Yoga – I’m not an experienced Yogi by any means, but I love the idea of it being warm…yes, I’m probably being a tad naive on the warm front as others tell me that it’s more of a ‘dripping with sweat’ type experience… but I will see! I will of course be blogging about it!

Then I have another new exercise regime kicking in soon,  that I will also be blogging about! Barry’s Bootcamp – recently opened near Euston after making it across the pond! Barry’s has an amazing reputation and is a bit of a celeb fave. I will be taking part in the ‘Academy’, I little bit insane to be going from pretty much nothing to five days a week for a month… I will be measuring myself before I kick off and reporting on results!

If you want to get involved in the Sweaty Betty #TheFitCrowd fun you have the chance to win Sweaty Betty and Cowshed goodies! All you need to do is tweet @SweatyBetty_UK including #TheFitCrowd your inspiring workout picture for the chance to win!

After all, I do have to *start* thinking about looking fabulous in a wedding dress! Eek!

I was exactly the same- always put exercise off! I started running with the ELLE running club in February and I can’t believe how much I love it now. I go to the gym five days a week now x

That’s amazing, my fiance is really into running/fitness stuff and never used to be – always tells me how running is addictive and I never believe it. But hear it from so many I think it must be true…now just need to do it enough that I get hooked!

They’re fab aren’t they – they were the first item I chose and picked everything else around them!
