Max Factor Colour Elixir Giant Pen Stick

Last week I took a closer look at the latest premium offering in the beauty world from NARS, this week I’m taking a look at Max Factor’s new Colour Elixir Lip Crayons. The latest crayon offering in beauty land, when it seems almost everyone has them! But as a little spoiler…there are some pretty fab shades on offer from this selection!

So from left to right we have: Passionate Red, Designer Blossom, Subtle Coral, Vibrant Pink and Princess Rose.

The names are bang-on for the shade matches I think and my personal favourites – deep ‘Passionate Red’ with a pearly shimmer to it is a strong colour and a lovely night time shade. Designer Blossom is a creamy coral-pink that’s really, really pretty. Subtle Coral is my main pick of the bunch for day to day colour – it’s subtle but just enough peachy colour to look lovely. Then there’s seriously Vibrant Pink – there’s no exaggeration here, this is about as bright as they come. Amazing shade – if you like bright shades like MAC’s Chatterbox – then this will be right up your alley. Last but by no means least is Princess Rose – if you’re a fan of the pearly pink nude sort of shades. Personally this is my least loved of the bunch, but purely personal choice!

My picks from these are Subtle Coral, Vibrant Pink and Designer Blossom – all gorgeous colours and will set you up for the new season!

Expect to see Subtle Coral popping up as a regular feature on FOTD posts soon!

Available from Superdrug (£4.99) – amazing price for these lip scribblers!

I bought Vibrant Pink last week and love it! Much more pigmented than other lip crayons on the market at the moment. More of a lipstick 🙂
