Three Ways to Wear: Animal Print Shoes

I am a big fan of a touch of animal print – but it does get a bad rap sometimes. But I think it’s awesome – so I am loving this new addition to my spring wardrobe, courtesy of Minnetonka – as I am their blogger of the month for April! Which is rather fab!

These little brown pumps have just a little hint of animal print and I thought these would be perfect for a three ways to wear post…so here goes!

Look 1: Animal on Animal

Going straight in with the big guns on this one – animal print on animal print. Some people are afraid of mixing prints or overdoing it – and it’s true, it can be totally overdone. But I think with the right neutrals as a base and minimal other accessories I think a bit of print on print can work. For this one I’ve just added a tan/gold detail belt and my brown Michael Kors watch. The jeans are Jamie from Topshop and the slouchy top is Whistles via ASOS.

Look 2: Colour Pop

I can’t resist adding a pop of colour to at least one of my ‘three ways to wear’ look and this is no different – so much so that I have added to colour pop versions! (Slight cheat on the ‘three’ ways to wear…). But I would always add a neutral again as a base to keep it from going to far/being too much! The jeans are from New Look, the top is ASOS via ebay. I couldn’t resist adding my recent purchase Primark animal print belt (feels and looks much nicer than Primark) The necklace is from Romwe – and is a bit similar to the style from House of Harlow 1960.

The colour pop jumper is from H&M with Topshop Jamie Jeans (love) and of course the trusty Minnetonka Moccasins – these things are versatile!

Look 3: Tan Details

Last but by no means least is the most toned down of all three looks – the dress/tunic (dress if you’re brave – the cross over detail makes it very short at the front, tunic if not so brave) is by Love and I have two of these (the other is in purple). They come in a gorgeous silky feeling fabric and is really comfy. Plus the sleeves are full length and slouchy – all round comfort/style hybrid winner. I then added my legging/jean things from Uniqlo* to get around the whole ‘too short’ issue and added tan accessories to bring it all together – tan belt with gold details (from Primark, but old) and my metal/tan leather necklace that came from Nelly.com

So there we have three outfits to go with the animal print shoes.

On the shoes – these are just so soft and flexible but sturdy at the same time, they’re the ultimate Spring comfort shoe. The suede makes them warm and cosy, but the open style keeps them perfect for warmer days. I love how the animal print gives them a bit of a twist on the usual moccasin style – the the overall tan shade makes them easy to match with all sorts of other colours and styles. They just feel amazing quality and so comfortable. Will definitely be a Spring staple for me.

I love the shoes! I’m usually not the girl to go for animal printed shoes, but these are so cute! 🙂

    Great post!
