Can I just take a moment to highlight how much I love Guerlain packaging? I know it’s something really simple, but I love the smoothness of it. Feels so luxury, yet still subtle and classy.
Now that’s out of the way, time to look at the nail shades I’ve been playing with from Guerlain – a deep red (168) and a pretty pinky coral shade (143).
The deep red really is a classic – I tend not to wear red nails in summer all that much. Although I do still like the red nails/striped top/jeans combo for year round. It’s just too hot for that right now! No complaints from me though – as that’s where the pretty coral can step in!
A lovely summer shade, bright and creamy and generally really pretty. It looks brighter on the nail than it does in the bottle. Both of these nail colours are two coaters, the red could possibly do with a third just to make sure the colour is even all over.
Best thing about these though is the shine – just look at it! So glossy! There’s also the shiny top coat but for these photos I actually hadn’t used the top coat at all! The top coat has all the gloss of these, but obviously not the colour. It doesn’t dry as fast as some of my most loved top coats, but it is uber-glossy – so if that’s what you want it’s worth the wait.
